Parental controls on the Virgin Hub are meant to give some peace of mind. You set them up, block certain websites, and think the job is done. But sometimes the controls just don’t work. Kids still get through, pages don’t block, or settings refuse to save. Although it is frustrating, most of the time there is a way to fix this by using the router as well as myVirgin Media app . First Check: Are Parental Controls Turned On Properly? It sounds obvious, but start here. Log in to your Virgin Media router. Open a browser and type 192.168.0.1 . Use the login details provided on the sticker on the bottom of the hub. Once inside, check if parental controls are actually switched on. Some people assume they’re active just because they set them once. But after a power cut, firmware update, or even a manual reset, those settings can switch off.
